VIET NAM ELECTRONIC DESIGN COMPETITION
Vietnam Electronics Design Competition 2026
Organized under the leadership of the Radio and Electronics Association of Vietnam with the theme Embedded AI for Smart IoT Systems, the competition opens a nationwide academic playing field for university and college students to research, design, and build an electronic product that applies smart embedded systems and IoT technology to solve practical problems in industry, agriculture, healthcare, education, transportation, and smart cities. Across the three rounds of preliminary, semi-final, and final, the participating teams both sharpen their technical thinking and connect directly with enterprises on the journey of turning ideas into working prototype devices. The Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology under the University of Danang serves as the host, in coordination with Le Quy Don Technical University and the University of Science under the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, with professional sponsorship from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the National Innovation Center (NIC), contributing to the cultivation of high-quality young technical human resources for the country's electronics and smart systems sector.

Ten electronic products reaching the final round of the Vietnam Electronic Design Competition 2025 (VEDC 2025) have demonstrated market-oriented quality, with solutions ranging from biomedical electronics to traffic safety systems showing strong potential for immediate real-world application.
The IDS PTIT team from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) won first prize at the Vietnam Electronic Design Competition 2025 with the project titled “Design and Development of an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) for IoT Devices Using Deep Learning Models.”
The Vietnam Electronics Design Contest 2026 (VEDC 2026) has officially been launched nationwide under the theme "Embedded AI for Smart IoT Systems." Organized by the Radio and Electronics Association of Vietnam, the contest encourages students to research and develop electronic solutions that apply AI and the Internet of Things to real-world applications.
